Develop an innovative collaborative manufacturing environment for next generation digital manufacturing, to be used for concurrent product design, prototyping and manufacturing, as well as worker training.
Technical management, ensuring that the developed solution is consistent and aligned with the project overarching goals.
Given the ambitious project scope and the heterogeneity of the technical solution envisioned, agile development methodologies were deemed appropriate: within a predefined sequential project architecture, small teams successfully produced value iteratively and incrementally. The final project demonstration, set up as a theater play, presented the reviewing committee a lively and easily understandable story of the future use of the system in European manufacturing SMEs.
